FAQ

Can I do only 1 session for aggression?

Isle Dogs highly recommends a minimum of two sessions. Depending on the situation, more may be needed.

Can my dog participate in a group or social program if they are not vaccinated from Kennel Cough (Bordetella)?

For your dogs safety, Isle Dogs does not make any exceptions to this rule. All dogs attending any group program must have show proof of their dogs 1st and 2nd core vaccinations including Bordetella (kennel cough.)

Can my dog participate in private training if not fully vaccinated?

This is mostly at your own risk. However, if your dog is completely unvaccinated, I will only work inside your home. I highly recommend two-three sets of core vaccines when working out of the home. In busy areas, particularly around other dogs, I encourage three sets of core vaccines plus bordetella and rabies.

Do I need to bring proof of my dogs 1st and 2nd vaccination on the first class of a group Classes or socialization program?

Yes. You must bring proof of your dogs 1st and 2nd core vaccinations including kennel cough to your first class of a group obedience or socialization program.

Do you use ecollars?

I am skilled in the use of multiple methods of training and will do what I can to help you in the way you feel comfortable.

However, if it is immediately evident or becomes evident that a reward only approach is not effective, I ask you be open to the use of an ecollar.

Yes, I do use modern high-quality vibration and static ecollars, along with modern training approaches.

What vaccines are required to participate in socialization and group programs?

Core vaccines: rabies (for dogs over 4 months), distemper, adenovirus, parvovirus, leptospirosis, parainfluenza are required including bordetella (kennel cough).
